The poles marking the limits of the fishing area

On the two sides of the area, there is a series of poles on the land, 2 metres long and with colour markings. The colour-marked poles indicate the change from one fishing type to another. In addition to consulting the map in the instruction and rule book, fishers moving around in the Central Kymi Special Fishing Licence Area can use the colour codes to detect the change. This lessens the risk of fishing in a forbidden fishing type area.

Fishing ban signs

There are locations in the area where general fishing is forbidden. The banned areas have been marked with signs on the land.

Rule and instruction brochure

A brochure including a map of the licence area and the rules of the area has been produced for customers of the Central Kymi Special Fishing Licence Area. It is the purpose of the brochure to provide instructions, information, assistance and a map for holders of the fishing licence. The brochure notes the authority governing the area; the general rules for the area; additional rules for different types of fishing; the minimum sizes for the fish caught in the area; a map of the area; licence prices and selling points; parking spaces; and the basic services in the area. Those who fish in the area must follow the rules and limitations set out in the brochure or risk losing their right to fish immediately.
